When the James Crowden’s first cider maps for Somerset appeard Alan discovered he had already visited 18 out of 24. Then years later when James published his excellent ‘Ciderland’ and he only included 6 Somerset producers he decided to do something about it and published Somerset Cider handbook with 37 Somerset producers – the cider books have grown from there!
